The stark contrast between traditional Sodium floodlights and the Dialight ATEX High Bays is evident in this UK bulk storage depot installed in 2021. Replacing the old technology for high efficiency LED lighting, in a facility where the lights are rarely turned off is a “no-brainer” as they say, however the improvement in light quality is also staggering.
In this instance, 99 x 1000W floodlights have been replaced with 60 x 212W ATEX High Bays, saving over 460 tones of CO2 per annum. The savings are enormous too, with over £120,000pa in electricity costs (@ 13p/Kwh calculated in 2021!), prior to conversion to LED. This has now reduced the annual figure closer to £14,500 pa.
