Case Studies - Marine Port of Bristol

LED Floodlighting

Since 2014, The LED Industrial Lighting Co. (formerly Ocip Energy Ltd) has worked on LED lighting projects around the Avonmouth and Royal Portbury Docks. The variety and complexity of the locations is significant, but in every case the aggressive marine environment is a major consideration.

From warehouses to floodlighting, to cranes and oil terminals, there are few areas that have not seen some form of modernisation. The port’s vehicle importation operations, has seen vast areas converted to car compounds with thousands of vehicles being imported and exported every day.

The move to LED lighting has seen a significant reduction in energy consumption

To support these activities, there are a huge array of warehouses, workshops, storage depots, container parks, car parks and roadways. The move to LED lighting has seen a significant reduction in energy consumption, with ongoing projects to change floodlighting around the estate.
